More progress, as promised

I managed to finally make it up to the house today and snap a few shots of what they were up to today. I'll spare you shots of plywood on the interior floor because there really is nothing exciting about it. But, the front windows that will be adorned in paneling are in their very early stages. I can't wait to see these windows come together.


If you remember from previous posts, creating this paneled exterior is truly a building project in itself.

The strategic layering of boards, trim and moulding is what will give these panels dimension and bring them to life. So...here is what step 1 looks like. Wonder how far they'll get on them tomorrow? And here are a few more shots of additional windows that were trimmed out today:





Wood floor installation kicks off bright and early tomorrow morning. I will also, undoubtedly, be spending more hours than I care to at the house cleaning tomorrow afternoon...but all in the name of moving back home. Can't wait to be sleeping in our own bed again SOON!
